OK! magazine sells Jade Goody tribute issue before her dead

UK-based OK! magazine has run a memorial of the terminally ill Jade Goody as a cover story for the current issue even before her death. The new issue of the magazine, which hit news stands yesterday, states “in loving memory 1981-2009″ and “Jade Goody 1981-2009″ on the front cover. Journalists and some members of the public have criticized the magazine for pre-empting Goody’s death. But OK! magazine said the edition, which features her “final words”, was “a celebration of Jade’s amazing life”. In a statement, OK! said Goody’s family were “extremely grateful” for the support they had received from the magazine “during this distressing period”.
